The idea behind the name
A credible signal should be hard to fake.
In the handicap principle, a signal earns trust because producing it carries a real cost. A peacock’s display is the classic image: conspicuous, inspectable, and difficult to counterfeit.
Peacock Wallet applies that standard to software. Identity is cryptographically verifiable, permissions are shown before they are granted, and payments are reviewed before they are signed. Trust comes from evidence—not a promise hidden behind a button.
